In the summer of 2007, photographer Simon Hoegsberg took it upon himself to capture images of 178 people all from the same spot, in Warschauer Strasse, Berlin. Stitching a selection together he has created an image over 100m long. Presented beautifully in a smooth and intuitive interface – its beauty and thought provocation is only matched by its morbidity. Dotter Dotter is a 3D artist who has interpreted the 2D to 3D transition of classic gaming characters in his own imaginative way – transposing the gaming worlds into the third dimension whilst still retaining the fidelity of the original sprite [above - worm's eye view of a Donkey Kong stage] . Inventive use of camera angle and focus help us revel in nostalgia from a brand new viewpoint… continue reading »
