In the mood for some hearty, traditional British cuisine, coolography was put on to a supposed gem nestled snugly within the luxury Swissotel The Howard. So on a traditionally British evening (it was raining), we trudged on down to 12 Temple Place. Proudly headed by Aberdeen born chef Brian Sparks, 12 Temple Place prides itself on local and seasonal produce, and an innovatively modern British menu. Though not so clearly marked within the hotel lobby, we soon found our way to the large dining room. Though quiet for a Friday evening – just a handful of hotel guests – the playful tinkling of the ambient music and the continuous floral bedecked motif gave a sense of informal elegance to proceedings. continue reading »

Environmentally friendly footwear probably isn’t high on most people’s list of priorities. Conjuring thoughts of either barefoot living or donning monstrosities such as these, the two extremes would leave most people happy in their existing comfort zone. But in these oft socially irresponsible, environmentally unaware times it’s good to see a brand focus not only on ‘green’ production practices but also embrace ethical concerns aswell. Which is why we noticed Keep – footwear produced ethically in Brazil with 100% cotton canvas uppers and natural gum rubber soles. coolography 2.0

coolography is proud to announce the launch of coolography 2.0, which is now rolling out with increasing functionality over the coming weeks. The first phase of which is the site-wide redesign, which will hopefully make reading coolography a smoother, more pleasurable experience.

We will be ironing out a few bugs over the next few days, most notably a small set of cross-browser display issues [IE6 users, be ashamed of yourselves!], but all comments, feedback, and [constructive] criticism are most welcome.
