triumvir 'world warrior' collection
Triumvir have grown up. Having first grabbed our attention years ago as a small, upstart streetwear brand, their quirky designs and notable productions during the all-over print hoody trend have refined into a mature aesthetic. Alongside collaborations with Nike and Sega, Triumvir can also count Capcom and the legendary Street Fighter series as part of their creative portfolio…
Following on from their previous Shadaloo collection, Triumvir have once again produced a range of clothing inspired by characters that are no doubt ingrained in the minds of many an aging youth. Whereas last November’s collection focused on the original game’s bosses, the World Warrior collection is an extensive look at the main characters; familiar faces such as Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li make appearances in a rough, hand drawn style.
Many of the tees are produced in simple, black and white variants, letting the illustration shine. coolography loves in particular the small details Triumvir have added to the designs: Fei-Long sporting retro hi-tops, a literally skeletal Dhalsim, and a Gouki tee with his iconic ten/sky/heaven Kanji sign emblazoned upon the back. Triumvir have also released a preview video showcasing the new range, with a speculative April release date.
