Born and bred, loud and proud – are we Londoners at coolography. So over the past years we have been achingly anticipating the arrival of the venerable Olympiad to our hometown. Amidst governmental mismanagement, fears of wasted local investment, and a sliding economy, nothing has stoked the ire of the normally chill coolography than the controversial unveiling of the official London 2012 branding. Despite hefty public opposition, the Wolff-Ollins designed mark seems to be here to stay.

So with lamentations of what could have been (and possibly, what could be) coolography came across these poster proposals for the upcoming games. Designer Alan Clarke has come up with a selection of concepts designed with “the movement and energy of the games, in a simple abstract way” in mind. Beautifully simple, coolography would love to see these peppered around the city in upcoming years.
