As lifelong Londonites, we at coolography cannot justify any inclination we may have to sample the best hotels the city has to offer. In another life, maybe, coolography would definitely have boutique hotel The Zetter nearing the top of a list of fantasy accomodation. Located in the heart of Clerkenwell, the former Victorian warehouse is regularly touted as one of London’s coolest hotels. coolography’s favoured online retailer, Oki-Ni, has recently updated their ongoing archive feature series with a look at iconic denim brand Levi’s. With over a century’s worth of heritage in the denim field, Levi’s is perhaps the perfect subject for an ongoing product retrospective. With wonderfully rebellious designs (and a now iconic weather pattern tee) Loki quickly became a respected name in the UK streetwear scene. the uniform project

The thought of wearing the same thing every day would drive us here at coolography to the brink of insanity. How we managed to survive through the draconian style inhibitors of our schooling is particularly perplexing, though we still pride ourselves on managing to eke out some sort of individuality from our limited wardrobe.

Fast forward a number of years and coolography has stumbled upon the uniform project, a spark of genius from designer Sheena Matheiken, who has taken the idea of individualising a uniform to extreme, yet admirable levels. By setting herself the daunting task of wearing the same dress for 365 days, coolography was initially sceptical, but 42 days in and we’re suitably impressed… continue reading »
