The ever increasing saturation of the footwear market often throws into despair even the most dedicated footwear addict. Limited editions, collaborations, celebrity endorsements – most are ill-conceived and fall firmly into coolography’s shameful gimmick list. For those tired of the generic new season fashion lookbooks, designer Adam kimmel just took things that step further. To introduce a pair of suits from his new Spring/Summer 09 collection, Kimmel teamed up with photographer Ari Marcopolous and a couple of, shall we say fearless, skateboarders to shoot a short film.
The film needs to be seen to be believed… two skateboarders in powder blue suits skate downhill reaching unimaginable speeds… even passing cars on the way down. Hypnotising and fascinating, the film is also beautifully shot in HD… youtube just wouldn’t do it justice.
